Osaka, Japan – May 2, 2025 — Liberia has joined over 160 countries and international organizations in gearing up for Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, a global gathering set to showcase innovation, culture, and progress under the theme: “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” Scheduled to run from April 13 to October 13, 2025, the six-month event will take place on Yumeshima Island in Osaka Bay, drawing tens of millions of visitors from around the world.
At the heart of Liberia’s participation is a strong and purposeful message: the promotion of the ARREST Agenda, the flagship national development strategy of His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia. The agenda emphasizes key priority areas—Agriculture, Roads, Rule of Law, Education, Sanitation, and Tourism—as the pillars for sustainable development and national transformation.

The Liberia Pavilion at Expo 2025 is designed to serve as a platform for storytelling, showcasing Liberia’s journey toward inclusive growth and a resilient future. It will highlight not only the ARREST priorities but also shine a spotlight on areas such as trade and investment, gender equality, entrepreneurship, innovation, and opportunities for strategic partnerships.
According to Liberia’s Expo leadership, the pavilion will present Liberia as “Open for Business and Cultural Exchange,” inviting global investors, innovators, and cultural ambassadors to explore the country’s untapped potential and rich heritage.
The Expo provides an unprecedented opportunity for Liberia to engage with a global audience, forge new alliances, and strengthen its image on the world stage. In alignment with the Expo’s overarching theme, Liberia’s presence will reflect a forward-looking vision rooted in peace, opportunity, and people-centered development.
As preparations continue, Liberia is poised to make a powerful impression at this historic event, proudly contributing its voice, vision, and values to the shared future of humanity.
